Thank you all so much! Everyone here is so friendly, I’m so happy I joined!! Here’s a few pics of my pups! The tan lady is a cavalier/cocker spaniel mix and she’s my oldest and the pack leader ! Unfortunately they have only had a chance to see the chickens for a second and seemed a little more interested than expected so I’m going to give them another week!So glad you joined us at Backyard chickens. Would love to see photos of your dogs. A neighbor imported A Cavalier King Charles from Ireland, several years ago. I just fell in love with "Shamrock."![]()
Aww thanks so much!! I’m excited to be here!! I will check out all of these things!! ☝☝G’Day from down under LucyWelcome and Congratulations!
Beautiful fur babies!
I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.
You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.
BYC has a Learning Centre and also Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out. This one in particular may be helpful:
Topic of the Week - Dogs and chickens
If you would like to share more Pictures and Stories of your flock or fur babies, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out![]()
Thank you! I’m not even sure mine can be supervised at this point! They aren’t aggressive just REALLY interested! I watched a few YouTube videos that may help... it’s justngoing to be hard to get all 3 bird dogs on the same page. I mean they were bred to be bird dogsView attachment 1286399
Remember, every carnivore loves to eat chicken! Lots of omnivores too.
You should never leave the dogs with the chickens un supervised
You might have some luck with them. Bird dogs are very smart!Thank you! I’m not even sure mine can be supervised at this point! They aren’t aggressive just REALLY interested!
