Hi there! I'm Star (my real name, yup) and I've been keeping Indian Runner ducks for about 3 years and this year we bought an incubator for the first time. Last year we had our momma duck Galoshes surprise us all by incubating and raising two of her eggs, and this year those daughters have side-by-side nests that are just hatching out- 6 babies and counting!

I also have horses, special needs kids, and a boudoir photography business. It's busy around here, lol.

I joined to ask questions as I muddle through our first incubator hatching- it seems every time I have had a question over the years I've ended up reading a Backyard Chickens thread, so it was the obvious place to come for advice. I'm looking forward to getting to know people!

The photos are of this year's momma-raised babies, freshly minted.

There are a ton of amazing people that are willing to help or answer any questions you may have, or just to chat!

There is also great information in the Learning Center, there are tons of articles covering just about everything you need to know on chickens, and other animals too.
