I would suggest Barred rock or Rhode island reds. I live in a very warm climate as well. the summers are harsh here over 100 degrees, and the Barred rock and Rhode island reds are always fine as long as they are able to dust themselves and have shade and water.
 
Where I live we also have very hot long summers, and I highly recommend Naked Necks or Turkens, they are friendly, quiet, large breed that lays big brown eggs and take the heat like champs!












You can do as fancy mixed as you like, or as classic pure if your more interested in "pure" breeds.
 
Those are all good choices! Though, australorps aren't very heat tolerant. My gold stars are (mostly) quiet, lay an egg a day, (some during molting too.) and are very friendly and heat tolerant. I love my EE and BOs, they are my 2 favorite breeds I think. :)
