Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
Hi! New member, mother of 3, grandmother of 2, etc etc....NEW chicken owner...oh boy did we just take the plunge! We have 6 chickens that are looking like mini dinosaurs at this stage and 2 ducks....we know two of the chickens are Orpingtons but don't know what the other 4 are, and from the looks of it we could have 2 Pekin ducks (the feather are coming in white anyway). The coop and run right now is big enough (bought from the TSC). We are converting our old pool deck into a nice coop and run. Love the website and look forward to sharing triumphs and disasters with all of you!
