Hey all, new to BYC and to owning chickens. Have always been an animal person have a german shepard, 5ft Iguana, 2 corn snakes, 2 ball pythons, 2 bearded dragons and now 12 pullets. I live in southern NH with my wife and 2 kids. We just bought our first house and I have always wanted chicks so here I am. Well thanks for listening. ~Felix

P.S. What's it like having snakes? I would love to have a snake. One of my friends owns a lizard, but that's probably all I've seen of pet reptiles.

Snakes are pretty easy to take care of and a great pet. We started off with lizards and they require much more lights, heat etc.
