Hello everyone Im jessica and im new to this, I have kept chickens for years now but i havejust started my first ever incubation

Thankyou very much, a mixed bunch really lavendar araucunas, rhode island red, wyandottes, lemon sablepoots and lavendar pekins. Would you be able to offer me some advice please..
I am on day 21 and ive already had 3 hatch a day early and 1 pip but unfortunately it died. I have 30 eggs left in the incubator but there are no signs, no pipping or wobbling, should I be worried? As this is my first incubation im desperate for somebody elses advice ad I feel im doing everything wrong, thankyou very much

Hatching is always fun. Sometimes the first hatch doesn't always go as planned if you are not prepared for those unusual things. You might stop by this article in our learning center on hatching for some tips and hints...https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101

So glad you could join our community and good luck with the hatch! Keep us posted! :-)

Thanks very much, that helped a lot! I will keep you updated and hopefully some chicks will appear

I found with with hatches that the chicks hatch over a 2-3 days period, sometimes a late bloomer would pop out and scare the life out of us on day 25, but that's unusual. Fingers crossed you'll get some more chicks!

I know hopefully, its a bit disappointing if I only get 3 chicks out of 35 eggs, its just a bit worrying as there are no signs whatsoever but I have my fingers and toes crossed for chicks!

Hello and welcome to BYC!
Good luck hatching eggs!
