I have a beautiful Amerucana/Wellsummer mix rooster I'd love to find a home for. He is friendly enough and lets me pet his chest. I call him Fowler. Where are you? Around my place it's a constant battle with hawks. They're persistent once they realize you have chickens. I would think the safest thing would be a good secure covered run.

24 hour surveillance, and an armed guard with a shotgun! too much? try covered run with hardware cloth. nothing less!
