Thanks! The Sapphire Gem began laying last week - 6 days out of 7! Someone else is too, but not sure who yet. We're planning a sign for the coop ala Middle Earth - The Prancing Pullet :)

I loved all kinds of animals and I was a schoolboy, if the teachers were not dear, if it was a rooster, a cock, a herd, etc. In the classroom When I was working at a university that had a bird's eye view, I met people and I was amazed at the difference. But I like the idea of growing my own seed and I will probably feed my own. I have already lost a lot of fat, so this is another step towards food independence.
