I've been asking questions and posting on this forum for a couple of months so I guess introductions are in order.
I recently decided that I won't tolerate the lack of ducks in my life any longer and I had the great idea of hatching the poor souls myself in an incubator. Because of course I did. And Let me tell you the hatch day was a ride. Kinder surprise can suck it. Try getting a real egg ! When the first baby hatched I bawled my eyes out. It was Harold fine hair, a day early.

For some reason I thought it can't be that hard to stick a bunch of eggs into an incubator. I was wrong! But my research brought me to this here forum, for which I am grateful. I found wonderful articles on hatching and egg development, on how and when to help an egg hatch and in June I was able to help 2 out of my 8 Indian runner eggs hatch. The rest of them managed it well on thier own.
And so now we have the ladies: Lady, Julia, Eliza and Tempest and the gentlemen: Hubert, Harold fine hair, Vigo and Kepler.
Do I have 4 drakes ? Yes, yes I do. So more ducks are probably coming.
Wonderful people here helped me with my ducks and helped my ducks with me. (You see, I made their coop too small.) Thank you all. I hope I can someday repay the kindness somehow.
Also 3 days ago I discovered that Japanese Chabo's are a thing, and I didn't know I needed those, but now I need those.
