Hi My name is Kim Nelson and this is my first posting. My Kids and I got interested in chickens a few months ago and started our own little flock. We have 4 Isa Browns, 3 silver-laced, 3 golden-laced, 2 plymouth Barred Rocks, one Light Brahma and one (I can't remember) lol

We currently have 11 hens and 2 roosters, but we need to find a home for them because we promised our neighbors we would not have any roosters. Does anyone know of a good home? We live in Thousand Oaks, California.

My daughter found BackYardChickens.com from googling about chickens?

I LOVE quilting and counted cross stitch

My husband and I have 7 children between us! Ages 23 - 36 which keeps us very busy! The middle son has down syndrome and we thought he would love the chickens.... he doesnt care for them. The rest of us are enjoying them so far. They should start laying eggs in 2 months.

I hope there is someone on here that can help us find a good home for the 2 roosters!!!

Hi. Do you happen to know anything about needing a permit or license in thousand oaks? Also, how many chickens we can have?
