I was actually one of the people who didn't want to pass down the guilty verdict on the cockerel until he is actually SEEN abusing the hens. It is not normal behavior for a rooster or cockerel to intentionally injure a hen or pullet. If he truly is the guilty party, he should be escorted to freezer camp.

When we lived in north FL there was a family vineyard not far from us. Wonderful product, nice people. And every year they had a wine/craft festival that always brought in a lot of people. Once you get going, you might consider that.
