(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Absolutely new to chicken raising. We got four chicks that were said to be four week sold in early October 2024.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have four chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Two are Barred Plymouth Rocks and two are Australorpes. So currently they are about 14 weeks and a bit.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Those are nice pets for our kids, Fun to watch and supposedly less demanding and easier care as compared to dogs or cats. Not that we ever owned any dogs of supposedly any cat owned us.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Photography (sometimes).
