Hello from Africa

Hello there, I am in a quest here in Praia, that's my City, searching for breeds, Chickens, pigeons and Quails, yesterday I found a pigeon breed, the Sottobanca, really beautiful, in the next payment i am going to buy 1 pair. About chickens, we don't have much choices here, we have Brahma, Mini Cochin, we have a breed that we call "Galinha de Terra", Galinha means Chicken, de means from, and terra means land. I have 2 Land Chickens and one Male that we call Inavi, that's the name of the company that sells eggs here in my country, as we don't know the breed, we call them Inavi. I made a Incubator, from a Microwave, I am using those Chinese digital thermostats, and have 7 quail eggs for test, in 4 days I will know if it is right or not. I made some tests yesterday with my phone light and saw some movements inside the eggs, yeaahhhh. I am going to post some pictures, and who knows someone will recognise that Inavi breed real name. Thanks.

From the sounds of it I'm guessing the Inavi might be some sort of production hybrid that they sell. But pictures will tell more.

I hope you're not using the microwave's own heating parts to keep the heat up

Good luck with your flock.

Well, this is the Inavi male, I call him Bocelli, because his singing is really funny. That picture was taken about 20 days ago, he his much bigger now. Those bricks in the wall are 40x20cm each 20cm is about 7.8 inches. When i return home I will take a fresh picture. Thanks.

Oh Yes, I think We have those cobb broilers chickens here too, Inavi has a white huge chicken for sale, for meat, i have the others for eggs.

Oh no i am using only the Microwave enclosure, not the electronic dangerous parts, I only keep the fan and turning motor, those are for the second part when it goes completely automatic, hehehe, I am waiting for my cousin that's coming from USA next week, he is bringing the digital Humidity controller, My uncle asked me, what you want from US? A new shirt, perfume? I told him, and about some Bobwhite eggs, a pair of Modenas or Indian Fantail, those are good gifts.

This picture is a video print, I will make better, without net later. GALINHA DE TERRA, Chicken from Land or Land Chickens. They are small, but healty, put some small but tasty eggs, the yellow are orange red. At the first days i put them away from that male, he was trying to get busy with the girls, but they were too small for him. Hold your pants up or you're going to the box.

That's a nice looking bird. Probably quite hardy too. Reminds me of our Finnish landraces.

The three girls on the left side are Finnish Alho landraces.
