Hi! I'm from Eastern/Central Alabama, the Lake Martin Area! I am new to the chicken scene! My husband is currently finishing our first coop, and we should be purchasing our first chicks soon!
Can anybody give us some advice? We are looking for chickens that lay well, are friendly, and are not one solid color.
From what I've been researching, I've found someone local who has standard cochins and light brahmas. I love the look of these, but my hubby isn't sold on the fuzzy feet! LOL Can anyone tell me how these are on egg production and friendliness? Are there some other colorful breeds that produce eggs well, and tend to be more on the friendly side?
