First off, I want to thank you all for the great resource that is "backyardchicken".
Just a quick introduction from a new member.
My name is John and I live in Arizona in the Phoenix area. I am new to the backyard chicken deal, and I am really excited to begin the journey.
I had a small backyard style coop given to me for Christmas and I picked up 4 chicks last weekend. I picked up 2 production reds (now 2-1/2 weeks old) and 2 barred rocks (now 3-1/2 weeks old). The feed store sells them as 90% pullets. They will actually exchange them if they turn out to be roosters which is cool.
Anyhow, I will keep reading and learning, and perhaps I will someday have something to contribute to a newbie like me.
Thank you again.
John
