Hi ya'll! I'm a real newbie to chickens. I don't even own any yet, just doing research. I can't wait to have fresh eggs in the morning! Looking forward to chatting and learning all I can here at BYC.

Just wondering, does anyone out there live in the watershed here in Whatcom County? I'm wondering what the law is here and can't seem to find anything about it. I hope it doesn't say I can't have chickens! I would be really heartbroken. Gonna call the county tomorrow but thought I would check.

Thanks everyone! And thanks for the info, Imp. There doesn't seem to be any info on whether you can have chickens if you are in the watershed in the county. In the city, if you are in the watershed you cannot have chickens unless you got them before 2009. :-( I really hope this isn't the case for the county...
