Hello from California

here are some of my recent babies. Weird thing i had 3 obvious silkie mixes. One of them came down sick last week and fluid was literally pouring out if its beak! Today I found another with splayed legs. Eating and drinking, the others seem fine.

They are all separate from the rest of the flock. I have been very lucky not to have had illness so this is a weird for me.

Check for mold. Look around and under your feeders and clean up any old feed and make sure your waterers are clean. Also check the date on your feed to make sure it isn't old. You can get Poultry Cell at Tractor Supply or off Amazon. It will help with any vitamin deficiencies. Have you begun treatment for the splayed legs?

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

Sorry about the issues with your new chicks. I'd have them on chick crumbles or all flock crumbles plus as mentioned above, vitamins in their water. Be sure to fix the splayed legs asap though as that's fixable when caught early. If you need help, just yell. A lot of us have done it successfully.
