Hello all!
I thought this might be fun to do so here I am!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Actually, I am not new... I have had chickens for a little more than a year.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 3 (but I used to have 4 a month ago) 2 big ol' hens and 1 small baby.

(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 1 Buff Orpington named, Buffy (she is my little baby, and my favourite , she loves to cuddle) and 2 Light Sussex that are a little more than 1 year now.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I wanted chickens but needed to know all there is to know about them and landed on this wonderfilled site.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Ummm, reading?

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I'm new to chickens, my oldest is 10 weeks my youngest is 2 weeks now. Last night was their first night in the coop, that was nerve wracking

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 10! My coop holds 12 so I'm looking for 2 more breeds

(3) What breeds do you have?
1 EE/RIR mix Hawk (10w)
1 production red Rose (unknown age)
1 production white? Maybe a leghorn? Not quite sure.. Canary (unknown age)
1 White chantecler Cadbury (7 weeks)
1 cream legbar Ivory (7 weeks)
1 barnyard mix Chamomile (I think legbar mix, 7 weeks)
1 Cream leg bar cockerel HeiHei (4-5 weeks)
2 EAster eggers Diamond and Rainbow (3-4 weeks)
1 French black copper maran Ebony (2 weeks)

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I was googling a lot about chickens and the top hits on Google always led back to this site so I decided I should join

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Reading, riding, swimming

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I have toddler twins, a puppy, 2 cats and I'm taking school online it's a bit of a crazy house here lol

What part of Canada are you from? I lived for 18 years in Nova Scotia! Didn't see many farm animals when i lived there. Right now i am living in Virginia and loving it. Do you have any other pets or livestock? I am waiting on a shipment of guineas

I live in NS I used to live all over Halifax/tantallion/hammondsplains/Bedford but we just bought our first house! 3 acres in lakelands (between mount uniacke and Windsor) what better way than celebrating our first year here than getting chickens!?

Hello, I am in the Quebec area. Here nowadays there are many farms, and we are quite happy with it. No we do not have any other pets. Have a great day/night!
