Greetings! I've been off the board for several weeks, so I missed your intro post. I'm also in Cecil County, just north of Elkton.
Right now I only have one chicken - she was actually a stray, turned up in an industrial park in Newark! - but am planning on getting a couple more in the spring. I looked online and couldn't find much about local animal ordinances, other than the requirement to get a special license if you have more than 5 animals that are breeding stock. Would you mind telling me how much land you were told was required for keeping chickens?
