Hey ya'll!! I have been loving the info on this site! We just got a free chicken coop off craigslist! 4foot by 8 foot and now we are in the process of cleaning/repairing/modifying and painting it. Will be adding a 8or 10 foot wide by 16 foot long chicken run. We are a homeschooling family with 3 teen boys! Our youngest boys/twins are quite excited about getting our chicken coop up and running. OUr neighbor is giving us 3 chickens, and we may be receiving a few more from another homeschool family. We are quite new to this! We live in city limits, but they do allow hens!! When I called they told me their were no limit to the number, but a friend said it is only2! I sure hope not, as we applied for 6 on our permit. WE would love any tips, advice you have for new chicken owners like ourselves. Thanks so much for all of the info thus far! You are a blessing!

Just realized I will be breaking the testosterone cycle with all the hens!! Sure wish I could paint the coop pink and not red!! LOL, but the boys want red!!
