The outcome of the "family meeting" was positive and it looks like we are gonna have chickens. Glad I read Raising Chickens for Dummies because it allowed me to answer all the questions that came up. No, not an expert, but they all thought I knew what I was talking about enough to agree on moving forward.
We are looking at coop designs now and are thinking Plymouth Rocks for eggs and since we already have chicken about twice a week, it will be nice to have "real" chicken instead of sodium chicken from the store.
