Hi guys, New to the site and getting back into raising chickens. I grew up with a flock that got as big as 60 birds. My Dad thought it important that his children were raised learning how to care and respect animals. Its been about 25 years since I had a coop.
Im super excited today. I just finished my 8X8 coop and a totaly enclosed 25X25 run. And I Got Baby Chicks coming today or tomorrow. The brooder is set up in the spare bedroom and ready for chicks. 8 buff orpingtons, and 8 australorps 4 of the bunch will be roosters. Im going to start with a flock of 12 hens and 1 rooster, The best of the 4. Im looking foward to chatting and learning with all of you.
