Hello from Central Texas

I've been a member of BYC for a few hours and found my way here to say Hi and introduce myself. I live just outside a little town called Giddings about 50 miles from Austin. I live here with 1 husband, 1 dog, 1 cat, 2 donkeys, 1 duck and 6 newly acquired Red Star pullets only 6 weeks old. I have had chickens and ducks off and on throughout my years and I'm really anxious to learn more about our "feathered friends". I just love my Red Stars! They are SO friendly-- as is this site---so "Hello everbody"!

I have red sex links too, and they are fantastic! I think they're the ultimate breed of chicken, but that's just my opinion.
