Decided to quit lurking and join the discussions :-) I am new to chickens this summer but have been thinking about it for a couple years! Stoked I finally got going and am really enjoying it so far. Here's the crew.

The big ones (wyandotte, 2 australorps (one not so pullet-ish) and an easter egger)

The little ones, a welsummer and another EE

Since I decided to try keeping the above 'woopster' I squeezed in one extra pullet (hopefully!) to spread the love around. I wanted a buff orp anyway :-)

Coop comes on Monday, finally! These guys grow fast :-) Everyone is here, as you can guess from the breeds, for egg-laying. And grasshopper control!

What cute chicks, thanks for sharing the pictures! I think you're right about the one with the large comb not looking too pullet-ish (good way to describe it!).

Make yourself at home here. If you'd like to chat with other members from CO, just type Colorado in the search box and your state thread should pop up in the search results.

Enjoy those little ones!

You have some nice breeds. Hope you enjoy Backyard chickens as much as we do. If you put "Colorado," in the search box above, it will pop up and you can post and see if any bycers live in your area.
