(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My family and I are new to chickens although we have been talking about getting them for a few years now. We got our chicks at the end of March (coming up on 4 weeks ago).
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
3 ISA Brown and 3 Bantams
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
So far they are fun to watch and get to know. They all seem to have a personality and that have peaked the interest of not only us humans in the house but our other pets too.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Crocheting, Pen-paling, reading
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share:
My husband and I, our daughter and son, who are 10 and 8. We have a cattle dog mix, a pug, and an indoor cat. My husband stays at home and I work in healthcare.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Commonly pops up during Google searches. I decided to join after reading different questions people have posted.
