Here is a picture of the coop roost. They had gotten used to one this wide on the back wall before I renovated it to give them more space to roost and didn't want to stress them too much by changing it. This allows the bantam girls to nest in with the bigger ladies and lets them all move around without having to get up and down from the roost. The dog crate was a makeshift nesting box when I thought my lo and bsl were going to start laying a month ago. I have since "upgraded" to totes. Will get pics when I go to let them out.

How can you stand that heat!? I'd be miserable in it. I've BEEN miserable in it!

Isn't it funny how different people like different climates. I definitely prefer the cooler northern one except on the damp foggy days.
