Hey Anna - welcome aboard. This is an outstanding forum and I think you'll enjoy it. I'm new to the chicken world and I've learned a great deal here. Incidentally I'm just south of you just above Phoenix and below Anthem. What kind of birds are you getting? I'm concerned about the heat here so I went with White Leghorns and Barred Rocks. I'm guessing up where you're at you could go with most any variety. Good luck.
