Hello Chicken people!
My sister suggested I join this group since we both share a love for chickens. I have 9 gals who lay for us in our urban garden in Harare, Zimbabwe. They are hybrids I'm afraid but super sweet and, of course, regular layers.
Looking forward to connecting with you all & learning more.
 
Nothing wrong with hybrids -- especially ones that consistently lay eggs! Pedigree isn't as important as personality and/or productivity.

I understand why you wrote 'unfortunately'. Just give those girls the best life you can until their too early time comes. I avoid the high production breeds now too because I can't stand to see them die so young.
