I am a documentary and Fine Art photographer living in the Conway SC area.

I do not raise chickens myself but have started a new photography project about chickens and the people who raise them. It was suggested by one of your moderators that I join a forum and reach out to find anyone who might be willing to participate in my project.

I have spent several years each on projects about Tobacco farming in Horry County and SCDNR's work at Santee Coastal Preserve, along with a number of other project posted to my website.

I do not make this work for monetary gain. I enjoy meeting people and learning about new subjects. I might try to have my work published in magazines such as the Oxford American or SC Wildlife. I also have had some success in art competitions

What exactly is your project that you are looking for participants?

I would like to introduce an audience to the people who raise chickens, their chickens and their home environment. While working on the Tobacco project I was fortunate to have it reviewed by James Estrin of the New York Times. He explained that people are interested in other people, especially ones they don't know. With that in mind, I first want to tell a story that is interesting and beautiful. Sounds simple. It takes a lot of time, research, and learning on my part. Thanks
