Looking to add chickens to our place. Parents raised them when I was a baby. Live on a little piece of property and would like to add meat chickens and a couple egg layers. Trying to figure out all the stuff needed to make it successful. I swear, it's way more complicated than it was when we were kids.

Brand new.

None
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Food production, bug control, natural foods
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Hunting, fishing, boating, camping, snowboarding
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Only 1 old cat right now. Blush 2 neighborhood cats that catch mice around the place. 2 boys who I think would have fun and learn a ton.
