I live in East Central Iowa.

I'm moving in the spring and will be able to have chickens at the new location.

I have a 8' x 8' yard shed that I want to convert into a chicken coop so I have been looking all over for information about what a chicken coop needs. I hope to get some work done on it before winter gets rough.

I also enjoy hunting, fishing, board and RPG games, reading, and much more. Too many things interest me.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Iowa is a great place to raise chickens. There are a lot of hatcheries there; Murray McMurray, Hoover Hatchery, Welp Hatchery, Schlecht Hatchery, Countryline Hatchery, SunRay Chicks Hatchery, etc. I would think you can get about any kind of chickens you want in Iowa. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. What kind of chickens do you have?

No chickens until I move in the spring. I'm planning on getting an assortment, it will be so fun to see how they turn out.
Thanks for the hatchery names.
