Hello from Italy

Thanks everyone for the welcome!
Unfortunately I have never visited America, my best was California near Leghorn (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_California) but sooner or later I will visit too: D

Ciao Marco! I'm so glad you have joined us?
Some questions
1. what breed of chickens are you planning on getting? Will make a difference in size of coop.

2. What is Climate there ? How humid does it get in summer? I worry about ventilation.
1. My brother-in-law raises chickens. For Christmas he should come over for dinner and I'll talk to him. I believe you breed Ancona and Livorno. I like the first ones more. The Leghorn chickens have them all around here.

2. The climate is good, I live ten kilometers from the sea and a few from the lake (Lake Massaciuccioli) but we are not affected by humidity because we are two hundred meters above sea level. It is not a windy place and the area in the event would be covered by trees and a dry stone wall. It is not even cold in winter (we do not go below zero thanks to the sea) and in summer it is really hot for a week a year. At least we live well, I hope the chickens too. :D

The boss told me that if I really want to start raising chickens, we'll talk about it in the spring and I think it's the best time to start too.
In the meantime I have all winter to study and start thinking for the coop.
