Well, now I have four! And I'm already thinking and planning on how to expand the coop and run area. Living in Vegas I have a small back yard but I'm determined to make it work!

I am planning my coop. May I ask how you got a permit to keep the chickens? I read that if the coop is within 350 feet of your neighbors you need a permit. Thank you!

Hello! I'm in north Las Vegas and all I need is a signed statement from anyone living within 350 ft that they know and don't mind. It's supposed to be recorded I guess. What part of town do you live in? Do you have your babies yet?

I live in West Las Vegas. I haven't purchased my babies yet. I wanted to make sure I could have them in my back yard first. Do you have a sample statement I can draft for my neighbors to sign? What do we do with the statement? Do we take it to an Animal Control office? I am a begginer. Sorry for all the questions! I have left messages with the City of LV and sent them emails and have yet to get a response after 2 months of waiting!!

I have been through the same thing. I finally said forget it and got set up anyway. I don't have a draft, I haven't done it yet. There are two empty houses on one side of me and only one neighbor on the other and they are moving. So I thought I would start with who ever moves in. The neighbors that are there now know I have them and are fine with it. I think it can be worded any way. I'm just going to write out a general statement that they know there are chickens within 350 ft of their house and they give permission. It has to be recorded somewhere but I'm not sure where yet. Sorry I can't be more help!
