Hello
I've been showing chickens since 2000 and have been breeding and raising them roughly 3 to 5 years prior to showing. I mostly breed Old English Game Bantams and in recent years have been breeding Wyandotte Bantams. Im hoping to get some Standard Langshans or Cubalayas, maybe both. My favorit chicken related things to do are... breeding and hatching out chicks, making new varieties, sorting through youg stock for show quality, showing, browsing over sale birds at the shows, and of cours talk chicken with chicken folks.

Good morning, Rowemblis -

Maybe we're neighbors? I live in the mid-coast. I was given two white Bantam hens recently. They came through a couple of other folks, and any info on them has been essentially lost. They are banded - "7" & "8" (hence my member name!). I would love to know how to differentiate between OE Game hens and say, Japanese Bantams? Leghorns? They are both good looking birds. There is quite a bit of variation in size between the two, what I am assuming are, siblings.

I will get a couple of photos of them when they're out today and post them. Maybe with your expertise, you could help me ID their breed?

Thank goodness the rain has gone, eh? maureen
