Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am brand new to chickens. Fell in love with my friend's flock and have been learning, planning - and waiting impatiently! - for my future flock.
How many chickens do you have right now?
None. Depending on our next move/rental - hoping to get some space and start off with an even dozen.
What breeds do you have?
I have a whole list of "Yes this one is my favorite" - but still making that tough decision! I like the big round fatbirds the best. I only plan to have layers and also allow my daughter to interact with them, so looking for friendly fluffy eggers!
How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Upon realizing that an acre may be in my future at some point, I googled. I googled a LOT. It was the other threads about my hometown and its ordinances/laws for poultry that led me here.
What are some of your other hobbies?
I knit, crochet, and try to learn new skills as often as possible.
Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a house bunny... his name is Bob.
