Hello I am brand new to everything chickens and figured this would be a rather helpful community in getting started and raising. I am working on building a house now and reading just about everything I can. I know I am going to make it big because from what I have read and how I know myself I will not stop at just 4-6 chickens

but for now I feel that is a good starting number until we figure everything out and get situated. A lot of friends have chickens and I do love helping them with theirs so why not have my own flock right?
