Hi! My name is Cait! I'm the second generation on our family's farm in SE Michigan ( basically meaning I'm attending college and just haven't left the nest yet).
I've got a flock of mixed laying hens, plus I raise Dominiques and sell poultry through our local farm market. I've only ever raised the dinosaur hybrid broilers, but I'm trying something new this year and raising purebred Cornish instead. They'll be here in a few weeks, I'm excited!
I've also got a pair of Royal Palm turkeys and am getting a tom for my Black Spanish hen sometime next week.
Aside from the birds, I raise Checkered Giant, Palomino, American Chinchilla, and pastured mixed breed rabbits. I've also got a slap-happy Border Collie named Maggie, three fat pigs, and a goat, and I have one of our three gardens for myself, for growing veggies to sell at the farm market. I'm partial to strange looking pumpkins.
