Hi Ya all,
I am so excited to be able to join this great website. I have read so much about raising chickens from the website and visited so much that I thought it was about time to join. Anyways My name is Marissa. I'm from Michigan. I actually have never raised chickens. It just happened that a few weeks ago I visited my aunt's farm and she was hatching Chicks. At the time only two had hatched and about 20 were being incubated. I fell in love with the baby chicks as soon as I saw them. About a week later I decided that I was going to hatch my own chick eggs with my sister. We visited my aunt and picked up some fertile eggs about 8. Drove them home, set them in our incubator and let them get to developing. It's day 11 for the chick eggs and they should be hatching sometime next week. I am so anxious. I have candled them a few times and been able to see them moving and the heart beating. So cool. I am glad that I am able to connect with ya all through this website and hope to gather lots of information. If anyone is from Michigan and has some duck eggs they are willing to sell I would love to buy them. I love my baby chicks and look forward to expanding my family. Hope to hear from everyone soon!
