Hello from Middle Tennessee!

:welcome:celebrate I would be your hat here in Hopkinsville!

Glad you're here !

A must have for your poultry is a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/suggestions-for-a-first-aid-kit.1150128/)
It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. (https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...-there-and-cut-more-holes-in-your-coop.47774/) Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it!

One last thing, if you're into gardening, feel free to join this years SEED SWAP (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/seed-swap.1220129/)

G’Day from down under Mae :frow Welcome and Congratulations!

I am pleased you delurked and hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out. You might find some helpful tips on this one to help with Morty's shyness:
Topic of the Week - Raising People Friendly Poultry

Your babies are adorable! :love If you would like to share more Pictures and Stories of them, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
You are so helpful!! Thank you so very much. Morty also unfortunately has a case of the pasty butt :hitI am so worried about him. I cleaned him up and put olive oil on his vent. I'm very afraid for him

Welcome to backyard Chickens!

I liked your introduction! Thanks for sharing

Welcome @Mother.of.Chickens! :celebrate I’m a couple hours south of you and spent 10 years in Clarksville! Woodlawn to be exact! We have a middle TN thread and I’m on there a bunch as my chicks are a week old today! :jumpy I’m now on two days of non pasty butt which I’m super excited about? I don’t have kids and I was NOT thrilled about cleaning little poop shooters. :rantI had two runty girls that just seemed to lag behind development wise so it took them a couple days longer. We seem to be all good now but what do I know! I still suck at this social stuff so I’ll find our thread and paste it here for you like someone did for me! Once again welcome, and everyone is very helpful! Enjoy! :frow
