Hello everyone. I just moved into a new house and have been busy building a chicken coop out of a child's play fort. I haven't had chickens in 30 years so I am very excited. My chicks arrive April 21 so I'm working everyday getting their coop and run ready.

I hadn't had chickens in 30 years either, until about 6 weeks ago!

I am in western Illinois near Iowa. I lived in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area last 14 years. Chicago is were I was raised when I wasn't spending time with my grandmother on the farm.

Another busy day working on the coop. I had some scrap wood so I made a chair with a roosting bar for me and my chickens.
