Thank you. After living on the property now for a year we are busy making changes to the "bones" of the property. I will be posting pictures over the next month of some of the changes. Unfortunately NC weather has been a bit...Bipolar lately. It now feels like we are trying to be the new Seattle (raining every week if not multiple times a week) Temps going from the 20's to the 60's in 24 hours. So it's made for some challenging outdoor working environments (but I am definitely not complaining as I have seen what you northerners are going through and yikes...)

Bonjour and welcome from France! I do love my Marans but not had any of the other breeds you mention.

Hello PouleChick! Do you find your Marans to be calm and friendly? Are you breeding them?

They are calm but I didn't handle them much as chicks so they aren't friendly as such. I'm going to be using them to breed but hoping to mix wiht other breeds to get all sorts of good colours (I also have Araucanas and will be getting some cream legbars too).
