It sounds like you have a great place. I was also happily surprised by how friendly and personable my chickens are....originally got them for eggs, but now they are more pets than anything else. They just won me over with their funny natures.

The Oregon Poultry Swaps are awesome. I ahve met some really great people through these swaps. The people who organize them are fantastic.
