Welcome, @Tangyra! It is always so wonderful to hear stories from other places on our shared planet. Bruce looks like a very solid rooster, what breed is he? Have you raised chicks sired by him?

Hey oregonkat, thank you. Bruce is an Asil rooster, We have sired quite a few of his chicks but they've all been sold out the moment they're put the incubator. This is his son who hatched 5 days late.

Absolutely! I imagine you have your own problems to overcome keeping chickens where you live! I can't get my head around the Americans and Canadians that need to protect thier flocks from bears but I imagine you have some other interesting things you need to worry about there! Look forward to learning more.

Thank you, I'll definitely take some good photos tomorrow, here we have similar problems - leopards, mongeese and King cobras. But so far only the goats have been the target.

His son is a handsome boy. The landscape where you are looks very green and lush and I see a kind of a hoe in the picture, do you raise vegetables also?
Visiting Nepal is on my 'bucket' list of things to do before I join my ancestors. Beautiful country!

Here are a few photos of the beast that I worry about most when it comes to my chickens:

My sister, who lives in South Africa, is not allowed to keep chickens because of attracting predators one of which is the Spitting Cobra, a relative of your King Cobra I believe. I do not have dangerous snakes where I live, but our state does have the Rattlesnake, they just dont like my forest.

Kat, please keep the bears up there in Oregon OK? California has enough problems down here!
snakes, hawks, smog, taxes, high prices, poor quality water and feed, etc. AWW forget it! I'm moving to Seattle!
