Here here.....down in the south central mountains of New Mexico! Nice to see another New Mexican on board!

If I may ask, why didn't you order from Privett here in Portales? I have used them for years and love their stock. They are more acclimated to our climate and close by too.

But looks like you ordered some nice breeds! I hope they arrive safely.

Nice to see another New Mexican :).. I found there site a little harder to use and everything had st-run and i didn't really want all st-run.. ideals was a little easier to use and i could get exactly what i wanted.... I live up on the cap rock county of quay..

Getting any rain out there this week? We have been swamped, and wow, do we need it! :)
 
Welcome to BYC I live on a big ranch in Harding county so I understand the loneliness your choice of birds is pretty good. Pheasants will be a little hard to keep because they need a pretty stable temperature. and a different diet than chickens. An alternative to pheasants are quail. they lay well but have small eggs and are very friendly. The Guineas will not be friendly at all and will lay all over but you will surely know when anything happens they also kill snakes so having them around will reduce bull snakes eating eggs. duck eggs are very good for cooking if you provide like a little kiddie pool [like the $15 at Wal-Mart] they wont poop in a stock tank or any of that. Good luck its nice to see im not the only one in NM
