Hello BYC!! My name is Wendy. I am a new chicken momma as of last July. A friend of mine bought us some 6 month old chickens at a auction last year. After getting over the shock and asking them what they were thinking .... I instantly fell in love. They are the most quirky and silly things to watch. We have no idea what kind of chickens we have. We have four. The winter went great so now we are ready for more... we ordered 16 chicks and they will be here in 3 weeks. We are so excited. We thought we have all ladies, however, we are new at this and over the winter they changed a lot and seem to look more like and sound more like roosters. We are getting 3 eggs a day (this is why were are confused). I love everything about this forum. I was a lurker : ( I would come and look up my questions but never joined because I am a newbie and am still in the learning stages. I am now addicted so I thought what a better place to go and be a part of... a site full of chicken lovers that I can learn many things from. I look forward to getting to know you and your beautiful feathered friends.
