Hello im a young boy in newyork and would like to get a chicken from our local tractor supply store i will be going there soon to pick one out!

but one problem people tell me roosters are mean is this true?

Not all roosters are mean... Study up on your breeds before getting one though. I have a big blue cochin rooster, he's the sweetest thing ever.... Then I have Neachy Peachy, a Buff Orpington rooster who is full of spit and vinager!
