Hello and welcome to BYC! Glad you joined.
I install vinyl reinforced tarps to the exterior of my run to block wind, add fresh wood chips to the run and more bedding in the coop to winterize. I also use a thermostatically controlled bird bath deicer in my bucket waterer with horizontal nipples and a heated base fount waterer up on a block to keep it chest height.

I'm surprised how many responses this post got. Wow, Thanks and I do feel more welcomed. I'm hoping I can make some friends on the way. Our children are literally out with the chickens every day and it makes me wonder why I didn't start a flock years back.

I'll look at the post for my area from the sig in Pork Pie's. Everyone is so friendly.
