We just got 6 EE chicks over the weekend from a friend of ours who owns a nearby farm. So many of our neighbors have chickens that we thought we'd get in on the fun too, even though we know virtually nothing about keeping chickens.
The chicks are just 2 weeks old. We were a little surprised to see them flying already. I still need to build a coop for them, so they're in a brooder in our basement for now.
We've got lots to learn and this site look like a great resource.
