Hello all, We started with 5 chicks from Tractor Supply and not much knowledge of what to do. I spent a lot of time reading and watching YouTube videos to provide the best possible environment for the chicks to thrive. We also divided our yard with a fence to keep the pups away from the chickens and our raised beds, but as it turns out the dogs are the ones who needed protection! We have since added 7 more hens for a total of 12. There’s something about mini homesteading that brings tremendous pleasure to us. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the community! All the best.

Welcome aboard! I agree, mini homesteading is rewarding.
