Congratulations on your rural homestead! Best of luck with all your plans and make yourself at home here![]()
Well, I know where you are at least...at least your town is bigger than here..,we’ve got one stoplight...one grocery store...one gas station...lol...but, it’s sort of cozy..welcome to PA..and BYC!I actually do not. We’re not originally from here we settled here after the military. We’re also in a tiny town! You’re about 2 hours from me. We’re in Saegertown . Thank you for the welcome!
I especially love my two barred rocks, my special "snuggle chickens"!I do and I love them all! One is a bit temperamental but hopefully she gets over it
Hi!Good morning everyone!
I am happy to be here I am also excited to read all of your trials and tribulations!
I recently moved into a rural area to start our dreams if homesteading. we jumped in feet first and got 12 chicks off the bat. It’s been a learning process. 11 have made it to the age of four months. One passed away due to injury of getting stuck in the wall beam in my barn. We socialize with them every day and they have quite a few toys for the winter months. This spring we plan on building them a large run right off the small barn.
I’m excited to read about your chickens and learn about more breeds! Mine are barred rock and amaracunas.
